Starting as a way to photograph her family for herself, Shannon Harrison developed the idea to take 10 photographs on the 10th day of the month; every hour on the hour. This is such a creative way to capture every day life.
Here is Shannon’s 10 on 10 for July 10, 2011.
For January 2012, I recommend Alison Crane’s 10 on 10.
As a working mom, my 10 on 10 on the 10th day of the month could be pretty boring if it occurs on the weekday (as it does in January). But I love the idea, so I have decided to document my 10 on 10 on the second Saturday of every month. I will take up this challenge this Saturday…look for my photos this weekend. And I will show how I translate my 10 on 10 into my family photo yearbook layout!
I would love to see how you capture 10 on 10. Link to your blog in the comments!

Thanks for mentioning me! I’m so glad you are inspired to document your family. A year of 10 on 10s would make a great book!
You’re welcome! I loved the photos of them playing games. I can’t wait to get started. My day today was a little chaotic…so we will see how it goes tomorrow when I try to start this! And…I do have an idea for a specific 10 on 10 book. I hope to have that post up this weekend…
